Welcome to the annual Hackley Football Banquet and Awards Dinner. Again, we thank all those who have lent support, & generously contributed to our program throughout the years. We extend our deepest gratitude to all those who support us in every way. This includes the Hackley Faculty, Grounds Crew, those who shopped, set-up, cooked, cleaned, provided transportation, donated goods, time & talents, chain-ganged, purchased at the concession, and traveled to home & away games to cheer our team on, etc. There are far more of you than we can list, but we sincerely thank each & every one of you.
Go Hackley Hornets! Our Hornet Seniors
|
We congratulate the entire 2004 team for their commitment & dedication in tackling the hard work required to keep our program moving in a positive direction. This is especially true for our eight graduating seniors. They were dealt the challenging task of leading the way through a transitional year marked with tremendous doubt & uncertainty. As the season began, the team suffered an excruciating setback, yet our seniors quickly turned this demoralizing disappointment into a positive experience. They taught their under-classmen neither to sulk, nor to look for excuse. They taught not to blame, but to support. They taught to learn from mistakes and focus on the task ahead. They taught to develop as a unit, to win or lose as a team, and to build on success. And build they did. Although smaller in both size & numbers than most of their opponents, The Hornets, lead by these seniors, went on to win 6 of their remaining 8 games, completing one of the greatest turn around seasons in Hackley sports history. Indeed, they have paved the way to greater things to come for the freshmen, sophomores and juniors here this evening. They have held true to tradition, and diligently kindled the eternal Flame & Spirit of Hackley Hornet Football. Next season you seniors will be gone, but sorely missed, and never forgotten. Thank You! |
