Is it mere coincident or something more? Just a few days before Pack162/47 was to celebrate its new name, "The Carol Ann Behrendt Red Hawks" a Red-Tailed Hawk was photographed alive and well in the NY Botanical Gardens in our Bronx. The photos were published in the Bronx Times Reporter's March 19, 2009 Edition. 120 folks attended the Pack's Annual Blue & Gold event and celebrated the Renaming, as well as a multitude of other accomplishments by the Pack, its Families, and Leaders.

St. Francis Xavier's Pastor, Father Matthew, and 49th Precinct Community Board President Joseph A. Thompson also joined the festivities. Both celebrated the tremendous family and community strength displayed by the numbers and enthusiasm of all those in attendance.

!!! Congratulations to All you Red-Tailed Hawks !!!
