For the 7th consecutive year, Pack 162 reserved a windy, cold, December Saturday to hold its Holiday Season Food Drive, with the assistance of the 49th Precinct and Big Deal Supermarket on Morris Park Avenue. Despite the cold and relentless wind, the Pack's valiant effort will warm the hearts and pallets of many folks, who find themselves down on their luck, and often in dire straights this Holiday Season. The Pack gives sincere thanks to 49th Precinct Community Council President Joe Thompson, who withstood the cold weather and stood shoulder to shoulder with the young Scouts of Pack 162.

A hearty thanks goes to Pack 162 Food Drive Organizer and Den Leader Angela Rico, along with Cub Master Sean Cahill, and Cub Leader Joanne Manfredonia. But the most Special Thanks goes to the Brave and Hearty Scouts and Families of Bronx Pack 162, who conquered both frigid temperatures and difficult economic circumstances to stage yet another extremely, successful holiday season food drive.
